How to get here
Getting to Conil de la Frontera by car is very simple, as it is very well connected to the motorway with easy accessibility. If coming from Madrid, you must follow the A-4 to Sevilla, and take the AP-4 until Puerto Real, exit 101 towards Algeciras, joining the A-48 and then take exit 26 (Conil Sur – Beaches), which will take you from the A-2322 to the N-340, where after a few kilometres take the CA-213 road which will take you directly to Conil. Once in Conil, follow the indications/signs towards Parque Atalaya / Conil Park Hotel. If coming from Malaga, take the A-7 towards Algeciras, where it connects with the N-340. This road passes through Tarifa and connects with the A-48 at Vejer de la Frontera. Continue towards Cadiz and take exit 26 to Conil, then following the A-2322, then N-340 to connect with the CA-213, which leads directly to Conil.
From the airport
In the province of Cadiz there is only one airport, Jerez de la Frontera, which is an hour drive from Conil and is a good option, although the flight destinations offered are limited: Madrid, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Brussels , London and some German cities. Seville airport, is almost 2 hours drive from Conil, and is another good option as there are more domestic and international flights available. Malaga airport offers the most flight destinations in Andalusia, although the airport is more than two hours drive. There is also Gibraltar airport, an hour and a half drive from Conil and is a good choice when looking for flights from Madrid and the United Kingdom. Once you have landed, at any airport you can hire a car, take a bus or take a train.
Conil de la Frontera has no train station, the nearest train station to Conil is in San Fernando (South Bay)about 35 km. Although a little further (about 50 kilometres) lies the train station of Cadiz city, which has more train services and has links to several cities of Andalusia and Spain. Some of the cities that link to Cadiz train station are Jaen, Sevilla, Córdoba, Ciudad Real, Barcelona, Madrid and Zaragoza. Furthermore, connections with Santa Justa train Station in Seville are varied. From there you can take the AVE to Madrid, as well as connections to more cities such as Malaga, Huelva, Salou, Lerida and Valencia.
There are two bus stops in Conil: One in “Cruce de Conil”, which drops you off at the main road N-340, and is one kilometre from the town centre. The other bus stop is at Cañada Honda Avenue in the centre of Conil. Most buses stop at the first bus stop junction “Cruce de Conil”. The bus company operating in Conil de la Frontera is “Comes”. Bus services arrive to Conil from many destinations such as La Linea, San Roque, Algeciras, Tarifa, Barbate, Zahara, Vejer de la Frontera, Chiclana, San Fernando, Cadiz, Puerto Real, El Puerto de Santa María, Jerez de la Frontera … in addition to the local areas of Canos de Meca and El Palmar. There are also some daily connections from/to Malaga, Torremolinos, Marbella or Estepona. Sevilla is connected via bus service to La Línea de la Concepción, which stops at the Conil crossing “Cruce de Conil”, and also connecting Sevilla and Atlanterra, with daily buses from early morning till night.
